MILKPEP
milkXP
milkXP pairs educators with famous content creators to turn curriculum based lessons into engaging videos inspired by the content students already enjoy. We worked hand in hand with Dr. Barton, who built the curriculum, reviewed each episode for educational value, accuracy, and alignment with his curriculum. We also partnered with Dr. Michael Rich, a pediatrician, digital wellness expert, and founder of Boston Children’s Digital Wellness Lab to develop a framework for safe, age-appropriate youth engagement.
Beyond the episodes, milkXP includes educator and parent resources, post-episode quizzes, and offline activities designed to reinforce learning and encourage discussion. The first semester’s financial literacy topics were informed by Harris Poll research into what students want to learn but may not be receiving in the classroom.
As we look toward a second season, we envision milkXP becoming an even stronger supplemental resource for students and educators. Our goal is to build the program out so it can enrich student’s lives outside of school hours and teach them more about subjects that they really care about, in an unexpected and exciting way, and bridge that gap between education and the phones that distract students.
